January is Mental Wellness Month!

Happy New Year! We hope 2023 is a big year for you!

January is a time of year where we reflect on the previous year and start thinking about our goals for the new year. For many, these goals involve health and wellness. For this reason, January is National Mental Wellness Month- a month devoted to reminding others that mental health is a critical element to overall well-being and health. Take a moment today to think about what new goals or routines you may develop to assist your mental health today! Whether that may be incorporating more sleep in your routines, time outdoors, or getting professional health, every aspect of caring for your mental wellness is important!

RiseUp for Veterans was developed with the goal of overall wellness of the family in mind. While treating children with gross motor, fine motor, and speech/language delays, we discovered it was not only the children who benefited from our services. Many of our parents are veterans, and the connection between our horses and these families was undeniably evident. RiseUp was founded in hopes to improve the mental wellbeing of Veterans with PTSD to empower them to be the best parent, aunt, uncle, and friend to their families and communities.

What are your goals for 2023? Is taking action for your mental wellness one of them? We are actively accepting new participants for RiseUp for Veterans. Reach out at or 904-315-8525 to learn more!
